Welcome to our Yoga ABCs for aging stronger, centered, and balanced! As we age, the first few things we lose are our vision, proprioceptors, gait, core stability, and postural balance. If you add to the equation a sedentary lifestyle you are at risk of developing obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and osteoarthritis. Since 2017, I have completed training and attended conferences to learn about how the body ages and the importance of creating a well-rounded exercise routine to mitigate the risks. My credentials are Group Fitness Instructor, Aquatic Exercise Professional, Yoga RYT200, Yoga for Trauma, Zumba Instructor, and Wellness & Behavior Coach. Research has proven that it takes 12 weeks to create a habit and, as you may have noticed, it takes commitment to take care of your body and health. The program has a duration of 90 days (12 weeks). It is designed to create an individualized solution to help you with your fitness, spiritual, and emotional goals. We start with a MBW Foundational Movement Assessment & Lifespan Questionnaire to determine your flexibility, range of motion, emotional status, and commitment. The program starts with a practice to experience Yoga union; some of the subjects we will cover are: Breath flow & balance Breath, Mindfulness & Relaxation SMART goals Beliefs (self-discovery) Yoga for a stronger core Bandhas Chakras Weights program for stronger main muscles.
